Victim Support use donation to raise awareness

by isleofman.com 18th September 2014

Victim Support are celebrating 15 years on the Isle of Man in October and to mark the occasion First Names Group in the Isle of Man held a charity dress down day to raise money for the charity to promote awareness of their important work in the community.

Victim Support helps people affected by crime, domestic abuse and fatal road traffic collisions as well as providing the Witness Service. They also provide emotional support, practical help and information to victims and witnesses, with the help of a small fully trained team of volunteers.

The charity’s Manager Paula Gelling said “ We are delighted and grateful that First Names Group came forward  with  the sponsorship to purchase these eye-catching Sail Flags. We are a small charity but these make a big impression. This will really help us stand out and be noticed at outdoor events and venues. This is especially significant as we celebrate our 15th year of operating in 2014.”
