Shapes and Plates exhibition

by isleofman.com 18th September 2014
The first exhibition of the work of a local potter opens this evening (Thurs 18th)
"Shapes and Plates" will be on display at the Art Bar in Noa Bakehouse in Douglas for the next month.
It's the work of ceramicist Kate Mitchell who's based in Kirk Michael.
Kate was born on the Island before going to live in Australia for a time, returning to her homeland a few years ago.
She says she uses images from her childhood as inspiration and likes her work to be functional as well as decorative.
The exhibition has its official opening at 7pm (18th) and runs through until 15th October.
