Appleby was presented with the prestigious STEP ‘International Legal Team of the Year 2014/15’ award at a special ceremony held in London last night (Wednesday 17 September).

Appleby Isle of Man Managing Partner, Sean Dowling, said: “Attaining this type of recognition for the work that our Private Client & Trusts team does is excellent, and real testament to their hard work and commitment to delivering market-leading advice and services to our clients.  It is also a public demonstration of our leading reputation for being a go-to adviser in the private client sector.”

Appleby was one of four other shortlisted nominees in the International Legal Team of the Year category. A panel of experts judges the nominations and consists of internationally renowned lawyers, accountants, barristers and trust companies.

In summarising the Appleby nomination, the judges considered Appleby to be a market-leading and ‘cutting-edge’ practice. Chair of the Presiding Judges, Paul Stibbard TEP, commented: ‘Appleby demonstrate the excellent technical skills one would expect of from a trust company associated with a law firm, but they also provide the strong asset management services of a bank. This comprehensive international service makes Appleby a worthy Private Client Award winner.’
