Policing in the north

by isleofman.com 19th September 2014

The latest in a series of public meetings around the island, being held in the wake of major cuts to the police force budget, will be in Ramsey at the end of this month.

It's being organised by the Police Consultative Forum and gives the public an opportunity to quiz senior officers and the Home Affairs Minister. A restructuring programme designed to maintain community safety in the face of reduced budgets has seen a reduction in the number of officers in the force and the closure of two stations.

Meetings have been held in Douglas and the south. The latest takes place on Monday September 29 at Ramsey Town Hall, starting at 7pm.
