Minister defends Big Debate format

The policy and reform minister has been defending the format of the Big Debate.
Chris Robertshaw appeared live on Sunday opinion on Manx Radio today to discuss the initiative.
It's a series of public meetings which will take place from next month.
They will discuss three main topics; how to make government smaller and smarter, how it can respond better to the community's needs and what's described as the modernisation of the welfare state.
The guests will be picked at random from the electoral roll, which has caused concern among the public and politicians, to the point where an alternative forum, Isle of Man 2020, has been set up.
Mr Robertshaw says this is just the start for the Big Debate, though:
