Staff at OCRA (Isle of Man) Limited have raised ?1500 for Rebecca House.
The money was raised, principally by holding regular ‘dress-down’ Fridays, as part of a long-standing commitment to support local charities chosen by staff at the Ramsey-based international corporate and trust services provider.
OCRA group director Stephen Porter said: ‘Over a good number of years now it has been the practice for our employees to get behind local causes and raise sizeable funds. OCRA has a well established presence in the Island and is dedicated to supporting the community in ways that can help make a very real difference. We applaud the outstanding work Rebecca House does in providing care and respite to children with life-limiting or life-threatening conditions and their families, so I am pleased that the staff chose to recognise that dedication by raising this exceptional sum.’
Mary Doyle from Rebecca House said: ‘I am delighted to receive this amazing donation from the staff of OCRA. Our children’s hospice costs just over half a million pounds each year to provide their specialist care. Currently we look after 30 children and families on the Isle of Man. This generous donation will help us to continue this much needed care.’
