Volunteer sought for central Tynwald Day role

by isleofman.com 23rd September 2014

People with experience in the armed services are being encouraged to apply for what's being described as a vital role in the annual Tynwald Day celebrations in St John's.

The Clerk of Tynwald's office is looking for a military liaison officer to coordinate the Army, Navy and RAF representatives who take part. Candidates are expected to be local, familiar with the formal proceedings of the day and be willing to make a critical contribution to the pageantry and spectacle of the event.

There is a small honorarium but the post is voluntary. Anyone interested has until October 31 to apply.
