Opportunity for writers to learn more at Litfest

by isleofman.com 23rd September 2014
Manx Litfest is giving budding scribes the chance to learn more about their craft.
The festival kicks off on Wednesday and runs until Sunday, with a range of events taking place across the Island.
Writers' Day is returning for its second year, with talks from literary agent Joanna Swainson, as well as visiting authors Nicola Morgan and Samantha Shannon, whose debut novel is due to be turned into a series of films.
Joanna will also hold one-to-one sessions for 15 writers, where she will give feedback on their manuscripts.
The ticketed event will be held on September 27 at King Williams College.
Illness has forced childrens author Sally Gardner, who was due to attend Litfest, to pull out.
