Heroin parcel seized

Heroin worth ?6,000 was intercepted on its way to a Ramsey address.


Police have arrested a 46 year old man who will appear in court later this morning.


Police said the heroin, a small amount of cannabis and more than ?2,000 in cash were sent via the postal system to the man's home address.


Detective Sergeant Paul Holland said: 'Persons involved in drug importation have numerous methods of importing controlled drugs into the Isle of Man.  We continue to work closely with Isle of Man Post Office to locate drugs entering the Island.'
