Wi-Manx seeks full telecoms licence

by isleofman.com 23rd September 2014
Internet service provider Wi-Manx has declared ambitions to become a full service telecommunications provider.
Just two weeks after regulators announced the market for providing fixed phone lines is to be opened up later this year, the company has lodged an application for a full telecoms licence.
A well-established local broadband supplier, Wi-Manx now awaits approval from the Isle of Man Communications Commission.
Wi-Manx Managing Director Joe Hughes said an exciting new era lay ahead, opening up the local telecoms market to competition and "allowing more customer-centric solutions."
Mr Hughes said if the company is granted its licence "the positive implications for consumers and businesses on the Island will be endless." Clip 1
