Ramsey civic service Sunday September 28th

Ramsey Town Commissioners’ civic service will be held on Sunday September 28th at 3pm at St Paul’s Church, Market Square, Ramsey.

The service will be preceded by a parade leaving from Ramsey town hall in which Ramsey Town Commissioners’ chairman Captain Nigel Malpass will be joined by his fellow Ramsey Town Commissioners together with members of the legislature and judiciary, chairmen of other local authorities and representatives of local organisations.

Those wishing to participate in the parade, which will be led by Ramsey Town Band, are requested to assemble in front of the town hall at 2.30pm. 

Members of the public are also invited to attend the service which will be led by the chairman’s chaplain the Rev Christopher Lowdon.

Musical interludes will be provided by Marlene Hendy and Dylis Sowry, and the Bunscoill Rhumsaa folk group led by Mike Boulton. 

Lessons will be read by Sergeant Andy Kneen of the northern neighbourhood policing team and Ramsey Grammar School head boy Edward Dunn.

After the service Captain Malpass will be pleased to welcome the congregation and all other participants to the St Paul’s Church hall where light refreshments will be served.
