Post Office & MannVend support Breast Cancer Awareness Month

by isleofman.com 26th September 2014

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, an annual campaign used to increase awareness of the disease. While most people are aware of breast cancer, many forget to take steps to have a plan to detect the disease in its early stages and encourage others to do the same. To help raise money for Breakthrough Breast Cancer, MannVend and the Isle of Man Post Office are working together to help raise funds for this very worthy cause.

From October 1st to 31st, Pinkie the unique pink snack and confectionary vending machine created by MannVend will be situated in the Customer Services Suite area at Isle of Man Post Office Headquarters in Spring Valley Industrial Estate. All profits from the sale of goods in Pinkie will go to Breakthrough Breast Cancer Isle of Man.

Tracey Leahy, Managing Director of MannVend Ltd said: “We are delighted that Isle of Man Post Office are supporting our quest for a second year to raise much needed funds for this very worthwhile cause.”

Lisa Duckworth, Commercial Director of Isle of Man Post Office said: “We are pleased to support the Pinkie initiative of MannVend’s for the second consecutive year to raise funds for Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Stocked with confectionary and snack items the hard to miss vibrant pink vending machine will be cited in our Customer Services Suite for the month of October.”
