by isleofman.com 26th September 2014

Isle of Man Post Office has been helping refugees displaced by the ongoing civil war in Syria.

The company’s sponsorship committee joined forces with the Peel Elim Community Church to send blankets and clothing to Jordan.
There are more than 600,000 refugees in Jordan, who have fled ongoing violence between government and rebel forces.

Sarah Read, chairman of sponsorship committee says it aims to support a variety of local initiatives throughout the year and is always keen to hear from individuals and organisations looking for support.
