Appeal following alleged assault at Mines Tavern in Laxey

Police from Northern NPT are investigating an incident at The Mines Tavern, Laxey.
 
It has been alleged that at about 8. 50pm, on Saturday 27th September 2014, that a member of staff has been assaulted during the course of their duties. The staff member was taken to Noble’s hospital for treatment, by ambulance. He was subsequently released.
 
The incident was said to have occurred in the pub’s beer garden.
 
A 33 year old man from the North of the Island was arrested this morning (Monday 29th September 2014).
 
Sgt Andy Kneen said “Police attended on the night and spoke with a number of people in the pub, whom were very helpful. I would appeal to anyone who was in the vicinity and saw this incident, and has not already spoken with officers, to get in touch.”
