TravelWatch Isle of Man says the potential closure of Blackpool Airport is regrettable.
Owners Balfour Beatty announced on Monday they would close the loss-making site on October 15, unless agreement could be reached with a purchaser by early next week.
Ticket seller Citywing, which operates up to three flights a day to Blackpool, says it is working with the airport to find an interim solution so operations can continue.
TravelWatch Isle of Man air services spokeman Terry Liddiard says the news is a further blow in what has been a turbulant time for air travel to and from the Island.
And he says if the route goes it will end an historic link to the North West of England:Clip 1
