Kestrel Insurance turns pink for Breast Cancer Awareness Month

by isleofman.com 2nd October 2014

Anyone who takes out a Manxman motor insurance policy in October will notice that Kestrel Insurance has changed the name of one of its popular insurance brands. ‘Manxwoman’ is part of a month long campaign that Kestrel is dedicating it’s time to, in order to help raise money and awareness for the Manx Breast Cancer Support Group – the charity behind raising funds to build a dedicated unit to support those with breast cancer on the Island.

Marketing Executive Natasha Carter said, ‘This is a charity that is close to the hearts of many of our employees and clients, so October seemed the perfect opportunity to change our colour from red to pink in order to raise some well-deserved money and awareness for the Manx Breast Cancer Support Group.

‘Being able to raise money for a charity that aims to treat patients’ right here on the Island is invaluable and this is why we’re so grateful that the charity has agreed for us to assist them in their fundraising.’

In order to help raise money and awareness, we will be inviting all of our customers (not just those taking out a Manxwoman policy) to round their premium up. Whether that be to the nearest one, ten, fifty or one hundred pounds, every little helps the charity go one step further towards its target.

In addition to this Kestrel will also be arranging a variety of in-house events, including participating in National Pink Day for the Isle of Woman, whilst anyone can pop in and buy a Manx Breast Cancer Support Group badge from any of our branches too.
