Citiwing committed to North West of England

by isleofman.com 2nd October 2014
Citywing says it is committed to keeping a vital air link for the communities of the Isle of Man and North West England alive.
That comes in the wake of news Blackpool Airport faces closure later this month, unless a buyer can be found.
Citywing is currently in discussions to fly to another airport within 10 miles of Blackpool, if required.
It may not come to that, as the airport has confirmed today it is in ongoing talks to secure a sale and its longer term future.
In a statement issued earlier this week, Blackpool Airport had said if no agreement could be reached to ensure its viability, the airport was likely to close on October 15.
