by isleofman.com 6th October 2014

The success that was the I Love Culture Show held at the Villa Marina on Saturday September 20th was just one - and exceptionally spectacular  - example of Manx Telecom’s role as an Island of Culture 2014 financial partner.

Marketing communications manager Voirrey Barron said: ‘We are delighted to be associated with this year of cultural celebrations - not least with the amazing I Love Culture Show. It was a great fit with our approach to corporate social responsibility and provided a fantastic showcase for the wealth of talent that exists in the Isle of Man.

‘At Manx Telecom we are committed to supporting the local community, be that in sport, the arts, education, mentoring or career development. This we do not only through sponsorships and donations but also by encouraging our people to take an active part in community life, for example by serving as volunteers and getting behind local charitable causes.

‘We have watched the programme of events for Island of Culture 2014 unfold with great interest. It offers something for everyone and is interpreting “culture” in so many imaginative ways – such as the outstanding I Love Culture Show amongst others. As official communications partner Manx Telecom is looking forward to an exciting final season of celebrations.’
