Zurich staff help to provide training for more Manx guide dogs

mployees at Zurich International Life recently presented a cheque for ?200 to the Isle of Man branch of ‘Guide Dogs for the Blind’ in support of the charity’s ‘Wear Shades for a Day’ initiative.

The money was donated through the international life company’s staff charity fund and will go towards helping to train more guide dogs for Manx residents. Currently there are ten working dogs on the Island, each costing ?50,000 to train and keep during their working lives.
Six hundred people on the Island are currently registered with the charity as having severe sight problems.
