Planning stops newspaper listings

The government says it’ll save ?40,000 a year as it stops advertising planning applications with Isle of Man Newspapers.
Departmental member with responsibility for planning Chris Thomas MHK says in future the weekly list will be published online as the department looks to save money.
It's part of a wider review of how the Department of Infrastructure administers the planning system and the adverts will stop appearing in a week or two.
Mr Thomas says although it’ll be a commercial blow to the company based on Peel Road, it’s not the government’s job to fund newspapers:Clip 1
