Flood warning for low-lying areas

by isleofman.com 8th October 2014

The met office has issued a flood warning for tonight and early tomorrow morning.

A high tide is predicted along with strong winds and there will be over-topping by waves along parts of the east coast. The areas likely to be affected include Hope Street and Back Hope Street in Castletown, the Tongue and parts of Lake Road and Leigh Terrace in Douglas, and West Quay to 'Mezeron' Corner in Ramsey.

Weather forecasters are monitoring the situation but say any flooding won't be on the scale of January and February's floods.
