Director of ports awaits Blackpool Airport developments

by isleofman.com 8th October 2014
The Island's director of ports thinks it's a case of wait and see when it comes to the future of Blackpool Airport.
Owner Balfour Beatty said on Tuesday evening it was going to close the facility a week today, after failing to find a buyer for it.
But Citywing MD David Buck is in Blackpool to see what can be done to salvage its route, and there are hopes some operations could continue from there, albeit not commercial airline flights.
