Flooding schemes under the spotlight

Road improvement schemes on Peel Road and Finch Road in Douglas will be under the spotlight this morning (Monday).
Tynwald’s Environment and Infrastructure policy review committee will hear evidence from Manx Utilities Authority chief executive Philip King and project and flood risk manager Neil Caine.
Also giving evidence at the public hearing in the Legislative Council Chamber at 10.30am will be former Water and Sewage Authority chief executive Peter Winstanley
Earlier this year, the recently completed ?4.3 million Peel Road scheme was affected by serious flooding and led to some repair works being carried out.
