MUA praised after storm surge

by isleofman.com 13th October 2014
A Colby woman has leapt to the defence of the Manx Utilities Authority after it came under fire following a power surge in the village.
Daphne Murray’s house was one of 55 properties affected by the surge that hit during works to recommission a substation at Colby Level.
It led to the MUA replacing scores of electrical appliances which had been damaged beyond repair.
One resident has taken the MUA to the small claims court.
However, Mrs Murray, of Croit-e-Caley, believes the damage was beyond the authority’s control, and has praised its approach.Clip 1
