Popular youth worker's funeral next week

by isleofman.com 14th October 2014
The funeral of a popular youth worker is due to take place a week tomorrow.
Forty-nine-year-old Paul Cooper died suddenly last week.
A tribute from the Department of Education and Children says he worked for the Youth Service for five years and for the last three ran the Soundcheck project, which helps young musicians with rehearsal space, tuition and instrument use.
Soundcheck staff and members past and present are invited to his funeral at Douglas Borough Crematorium on Wednesday, October 22, at 11.30am followed by a gathering at the Soundcheck studio on Kensington Road in Douglas.
Paul's family has requested mourners wear Paul’s ‘uniform’ of Soundcheck, rock band or black T-shirt with checked open shirt over, plus Vans or Converse and bright socks.
