Training centre reopens following ?1 million refurb

by isleofman.com 15th October 2014
A government-run training facility that’s received a ?1-million refit officially opens on Wednesday afternoon.
It’s hoped the Advanced Manufacturing Training Centre at Hill’s Meadow will become a dedicated training centre of excellence in engineering - considered one of the Island’s most important industries.
Formerly owned by the Department of Economic Development, it’s received the make-over from the Department of Education and Children whose minister, Tim Crookall, will carry out the ceremony.
Its development, backed by the aerospace cluster, has allowed Isle of Man College to increase its apprenticeship intake.
