State of the art engineering facility formally opened

After a ?1 million refurbishment, the Advanced Manufacturing Training Centre was opened on Wednesday.
The refit has allowed this year's apprenticeship intake to double from 18 to 36 pupils.
Students will be able to learn on state of the art equipment which mirrors that used by leading engineering companies.
Chairman of the Manufacturing Technical Industries Committee of the Isle of Man Chamber of Commerce, Chris Allen, says that the centre is needed to keep up with the growth of the manufacturing sector: Clip 1
