Dog killed in hit and run incident

Police are investigating a hit and run, in which a dog was killed, during rush hour yesterday evening.
It happened on Douglas Road, Ballasalla, some time between 5pm and 5.30pm.
Heading south at the time, a silver car struck a black and white Springer Spaniel close to the Balthane Industrial Estate entrance and continued without stopping.
The dog was killed during the collision.
