Dog owner appeals after fatal collision

by isleofman.com 20th October 2014
The owner of a dog killed in a road collision in Ballasalla on Friday afternoon has appealed to the driver responsible to come forward.
A black and white springer spaniel was killed sometime between five o’clock and five thirty on Friday teatime close to the Balthane industrial estate entrance.
Police say a silver car struck her and continued south without stopping.
The dog’s owner Cheri Crompton says she can't express how she feels about what's happened but is urging the driver to come forward.

While she says she doesn’t blame them, she admits she is disappointed the driver didn’t stop.

Anyone who saw the collision or has any information is asked to contact Castletown police station or the anonymous Crimestoppers number - 0800 555 111.
