MHK hopes police force has seen last budget cuts

by isleofman.com 23rd October 2014
An MHK says he’s hopeful there will be no further budget cuts to the Island’s police force.
While North Douglas member John Houghton was unable to have funding ring fenced, he received backing from colleagues that Tynwald would be concerned with any more reductions.
In June, it was announced there’d be an 11 per cent reduction in police officers and that two Island police stations would close.
Mr Houghton is encouraged with the reaction.
