Bus eligibility increase is a 'fair one'

by isleofman.com 24th October 2014
The Infrastructure Minister says raising the age in which pensioners qualify for a bus pass is a fair move.
Phil Gawne this week unveiled a raft of proposals to raise funds, including increasing parking charges in central Douglas and introducing a 50p charge for school bus journeys.
Mr Gawne says free bus passes will now be only available to those aged 65 or over, instead of 60.
Mr Gawne says while he understands frustrations, government has to raise revenues and expects to announce some concessions for motorists over the festive period.Clip 1
