Hospice Shops are delighted to be opening a new designer boutique shop in Strand Street, Douglas.
The pop-up shop will be based in the old Manx Telecom shop and will be selling some lovely items – all of which have been donated to Hospice in order to raise funds.
The shop will open this Saturday, 1st November at 10am. The shop's hours will then be 10am-5pm Monday to Saturday with late night openings from Thursday 20th November until 9pm.
It will only be open for a short period to raise extra funds for the local Hospice.
Shops manager Judith Leslie has issued an appeal for designer or new items specially for this new outlet. And asks that you please ring 615055 if you have items you would like to donate.
She added: “Naturally we really appreciate all donations to our shops and warehouse but we have wanted to open a pop up shop in Strand Street to sell some special items – particularly new and designer items. We were delighted when this opportunity came up, it is not something we will sustain long term but it was too good to turn down this chance. Additionally I would like to thank Marks and Spencer for their support."
The Hospice are looking for volunteers to man the shop so please ring 615055 if you would be able to help. An interest in retail would help but a warm smile and willingness to work to raise funds for your local hospice is all that is needed.
Hospice Shops Christmas cards are now available – visit any of the shops or Hospice to purchase them. Corporate or individual personalised cards supporting Hospice are available from Cannell Printers on 625690.
The Hospice are delighted that local artist Anita Woods has donated 2 of her original paintings – both of Castletown. Judith is pictured with Anita with the paintings. These will be raffled at the new boutique, Hospice shops and Frosty the Snowman Christmas fair at the Villa Marina on Sunday 30th November. Tickets are ?1 each. The draw will be on Thursday 18th December at 7pm which is the last late night shopping prior to Christmas.
