Your Legion needs you!

The secretary of the British Legion Club in Douglas says she’s keen to attract younger people with a background in the armed forces.

Last night, the club held its annual general meeting, which heard there were little more than 50 members remaining – and the vast majority of those are now in their 70s.

With numbers dwindling and members ageing, secretary Hilary Cleverley says it’s vital to remember the work the organisation does helping ex-servicemen.

And she says there are plenty of younger people who’ve served in the forces who’d be made very welcome:
