Check your tyres, say police

Police are urging motorists to make sure their vehicles are fit for the Island’s roads this winter.

As part of a road safety campaign, officers have posted a video to Facebook advising drivers what to keep an eye out for when it comes to tyres.

Tyres with less than 1-point-6 millimetres of tread are illegal and dangerous, and you could face prosecution.
