The Health Minister has acknowledged the emotive nature of the cancer drug fund issue.
In the House of Keys this week Howard Quayle told his colleagues that establishing such a fund for non-approved treatements just wasn't viable in the current climate.
Mr Quayle says he completely understands how families feel when it comes to getting treatment for relatives.
But he maintains that prevention is better than cure, and believes money would still be better spent on things like screening,Clip 1
