Minister criticises DoI parking plans

by isleofman.com 29th October 2014
East Douglas MHK Chris Robertshaw says he’s horrified residents in his constituency will have to pay for their parking permits.

Mr Robertshaw says the Department of Infrastructure should have carried out a review and held consultation before any decision was made.

In future, those with resident’s permits will have to pay ?25 each under the plans – which Infrastructure bosses say will cover administration costs as the department tries to make up a ?5 million budget shortfall.

Mr Robertshaw says his constituents are being treated with a lack of respect by his ministerial collegaue Phil Gawne:Clip 1
