Music night for human rights

by isleofman.com 29th October 2014

Local band Loose Crew will be helping to raise awareness of the work being done by Amnesty International.

A free gig takes place on Friday November 7 at the Centenary Centre in Peel from 8pm.

Stuart Hartill, of Amnesty International's Isle of Man group, said: 'The band offered their help to the local Amnesty International group for what will be the first of three collaborative nights of music and human rights between November and the end of the year.

'People can just turn up, listen to local musicians do their stuff, and learn a little about Amnesty International's current campaigns as they do so. There is no admission charge, though donations are welcomed. There will also be chances to sign letters of protest and support for various prisoners of conscience and endangered communities, none of which will take more than a few minutes or the price of an international stamp.'
