Gawne faces more parking charges questions

by isleofman.com 30th October 2014

Controversial car parking charges are on the agenda of next week's sitting of the House of Keys.

Douglas MHK Brenda Cannell wants to know whether Infrastructure Minister Phil Gawne has carried out an impact assessment on plans to charge residents ?25 under a residents' permits scheme, and how many permits are issued in Douglas under the scheme.

She's also asking Mr Gawne when he will publish the results of the public consultation into new charges for car parking in Douglas.

He'll be asked whether he intends to abandon the relocation of the horse tram track and what the cost will be of placing the track on the promenade walkway.
