A property in Farmihill is under police guard this morning after a serious incident in the early hours.
At around 1:40am police were called to a disturbance at a house on Hilltop Rise.
When officers got to the scene, they found a man with stab wounds.
They gave him first aid and he was taken to Nobles Hospital with serious but not life threatening injuries.
Another man was arrested nearby and is now in police custody.
Officers say they identified a number of witnesses at the scene and have been able to question them about what happened.

The public is being reassured that there is no ongoing to risk to them.
Forensic officers will be at the scene for several hours, and police will be calling on houses nearby as part of their investigations.
