Essential first aid given to stab victim by police

Police first on the scene of a serious incident in Douglas in the early hours of this morning gave essential first aid to a stab victim.
According to the report detailing what happened, their actions mean the man is in Noble's Hospital with serious but not life threatening injuries.
Officers were called to a property on Hilltop Rise in Farmhill at around 1:40 am.
They found a man with stab wounds who they treated before paramedics got there.
Another man was arrested nearby and remains in police custody.
The house is under police guard while forensic officers carry out investigations, but the public is being reassured that they are in no danger.
A number of witnesses have already given statements, but anyone else with information is asked to call 631212 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
