Investigations have been continuing throughout the day after a stabbing in Douglas in the early hours of Saturday morning.
Officers were called to a disturbance at a house on Hilltop Rise at around 1:40am.
Neighbours have told Manx Radio that there was a party at the house last night.
When they arrived at the scene they found a man with stab wounds.
They gave him first aid and he was taken to Nobles Hospital with serious but not life threatening injuries.
A man was arrested nearby a short time later.
Officers say they identified a number of witnesses at the scene and have been able to question them about what happened.
