An 18 year-old has appeared in court this morning (Monday) following a stabbing in Farmhill in Douglas.

Jack Marshal Bridson, of Close Cowley, was arrested after an incident in the early hours of Saturday morning in Hilltop Rise.

He has been charged with wounding with intent to cause grievous bodily harm.

After argument from his defence advocate, Mr Bridson has been remanded in custody until tomorrow so a mental health assessment can take place.

The court heard a 17 year-old boy was stabbed seven times in the incident.
