Minister to open William Kennish Engineering Centre

A new engineering centre at Isle of Man College will be officially opened on Wednesday.
A ?4.9 million project has seen a major conversion of the former water treatment works near the college on Greenfield Road.
New facilities include realistic workshop environments where students can work on industry standard equipment, along with laboratories for testing engineering materials.
The base will be named the William Kennish Engineering Centre after the pioneering Manx inventor, and opened by Education Minister Tim Crookall.
College Assistant Principal Jo Richardson says it will offer much improved training options for local youngsters:Clip 1
