Fire crews from Castletown & Douglas attended an incident yesterday morning (Tuesday 11th November) in the Castletown area, where a bull was in distress after becoming stuck in a slurry pit and was unable to get out.
Crews worked well in very poor weather conditions using line rescue equipment to assist the farmers in the successful removal of the young bull in an incident that spanned a two hour period.
Once successfully removed the bull was given a check by a local vet but it would appear all that was hurt was his pride.
