MHK encouraged with public feedback

by isleofman.com 15th November 2014
The organiser of last night’s Isle of Man 2020 meeting in Onchan says he’s encouraged by the public’s response.

Around 40 people attended the gathering in the Parish Hall which saw contributions from West Douglas MHK Chris Thomas, Onchan member Peter Karran and Onchan commissioner Rob Callister.

There was a wide ranging discussion on areas from the definition of vulnerability to the cost of council house rents, while concerns were also raised about the administration costs government will face if widespread means testing for public services is introduced.

Mr Thomas was pleased with the format of the evening.Clip 1
