'Write on' music night

by isleofman.com 16th November 2014

A new collaboration between Manx musicians and local human rights campaigners continues with a second night of entertainment and awareness-raising.

Amnesty International will be at the Isle of Man Blues Club monthly session on Wednesday (November 19) at the Station pub in Douglas. Admission is free and the evening gets under way at 8pm.

Amnesty activist Stuart Hartill said: 'We hope music fans will also take time to send seasonal messages of hope to prisoners of conscience from a quieter spot in the bar. This the second session in a series which kicked off with a scintillating set by Loose Crew at Peel Centenary Centre's Atholl Room on Friday, 7th November. The sessions, combining great local music and lifesaving global action, continue until the end of this year. More details will be announced as venues and musicians are confirmed.'
