Milestone reached in campaign for Island breast unit

by isleofman.com 17th November 2014
A major landmark in the campaign to build a dedicated breast care unit at Noble's hospital is reached today (Monday).
A public appeal by the Manx Breast Cancer Support Group has raised more than ?1 million to enable building work to begin.
This morning Chief Minister Allan Bell will lay a foundation stone at the site, with the charity's patron Sheila Dean.
The charity says it's 'immensely proud' to have reached the milestone in just over a year, but still has to raise more money to equip the unit.
The breast care unit will offer patients a dedicated facility for diagnosis and treatment, with the opportunity for more procedures to take place on-Island.
