Woman bishops some way off on Island

The Church of England looks set to appoint its first woman bishop– but it’ll be some time before the Isle of Man could follow suit.

An historic vote at the general synod this week has paved the way for the first women to take up the senior church role next year.

Here on the Isle of Man, however, the process will take slightly longer as there are more legal hurdles to overcome.
