Ramsey Post Office protest

by isleofman.com 18th November 2014

Residents of Ramsey are utilising social media to drum up support against the closure of their Post Office.

Both the Ramsey and Douglas branches are being closed, with sub-post offices instead being created in local Spar shops.

There's been an outcry since the announcement late yesterday. A facebook group called Save Ramsey Post Office has been created and followers are being urged to attend tomorrow's monthly public meeting of the commissioners. Meanwhile, protestors are urging people to sign an online petition calling on the Manx Government to rethink its decision and stating 'This is an absolute disgrace and a travesty'.
