TETRA upgrade gets go ahead

Tynwald members have agreed to provide ?5 million for a replacement for the Tetra radio communications system.
This morning (Wednesday) a letter was circulated to the court by a company called Airwaves.
It argued its own system would be half the price: however, members voted not to debate it.
Home Affairs Minister Juan Watterson touched on the letter as he summed up his case.
The vote was 18 for and five against in the House of Keys, seven for and one against in Legislative Council.Clip 1
